I’m Hari, and for many years, I worked in the corporate world. But in 2018, I took a leap and ventured into real estate, bringing my background in architectural photography, branding, writing, and indie filmmaking to see the potential in older homes and transform them into something beautiful. My passion for storytelling and creativity made this work fulfilling, and in 2022, I left my corporate job to focus on my projects full-time. Along the way, I began managing an event venue, a calling I now cherish as I get to watch people create unforgettable memories. I also added Airbnb properties, blending creativity and hospitality into spaces that feel like home.
But it was in 2023 that I stumbled upon something unexpected—pickleball. After playing for a week, I was hooked. Although a new project temporarily pulled me away, on April 3rd, 2024, I returned to the game and haven’t stopped since. Now, I spend hours on the court almost daily, challenging myself, learning new techniques, and connecting with players. My years of playing sports, even competitively in college, have certainly helped me, but pickleball brings a unique joy and sense of community that’s unmatched. Badminton was a favorite, and its similarities make pickleball feel familiar yet exciting.
Why PDA?
With PDA, I wanted to create a space that feels like home for pickleball lovers—an environment where players of all backgrounds and skill levels can gather, laugh, and grow together. My creative side comes alive here, with merchandise and a site dedicated to all things pickleball. As a branding enthusiast, storyteller, and player, this venture is a perfect blend of my skills and my passion for the sport. PDA stands for the joy, the quirks, and the friendships we build, reflecting the idea that we are all “anonymous” at first but quickly become family.
